Bill Curtis graduated from Stetson University in DeLand, Florida in 1991.  In 1994, he received his J.D. degree from the University of Florida.  After law school, Bill was admitted to the Florida bar in 1994 and practiced with a large local law firm in Jacksonville.  He also spent time working for the Office of General Counsel of the City of Jacksonville before opening his own firm in 2004.  For the following 18 years, Bill was the managing partner of the Law Offices of Curtis & Associates, P.A. and practiced in the fields of Real Estate, Business Law, and Wills, Trusts, and Estates, earning an AV rating as a preeminent attorney. 

In 2022, Bill joined Fisher, Tousey, Leas & Ball, P.A. as a shareholder.

Outside of the office, Bill is devoted to spending time with his wife, Susie, and children, Alexis, Isabel, Will and David.  Bill’s commitment to his faith has driven him to involvement with his Parish Council, Cursillos in Christianity, including serving as “Rector” of one weekend retreat and team member on several others, and Senior High Youth Ministry, among other pursuits.  He was once a world-ranked tennis professional and number-one player at Division I Stetson University.  His passion for tennis led to his serving as President and Board Member of the First Coast Tennis Foundation.  

Bill is also a founding member and current president of the St. Johns Rotary Group.  He is a Community Advisory Board member of South State Bank and a member and past Chairman of the Economic Development Council and former Board Member and Executive Committee member of the St. Johns County Chamber of Commerce.  Bill also serves as a member of St Joseph Academy advisory board.  He enjoys fishing, golf, travel, and practically all sports and outdoor activities.  Over the past few years, Bill’s favorite community activity has been coaching three first place St. Johns County Youth Recreational Basketball league teams.
