Danshera recently relocated to Jacksonville to return to the practice of law. She began practicing law in Seattle, Washington. After completing her LL.M., she spent two years serving as an attorney-advisor to the Hon. Maurice B. Foley of the U.S. Tax Court, in Washington, D.C., and then entered the legal academy. She taught tax and business law courses for over two decades, developing a national and international reputation for publications in the areas of tax procedure and taxpayer rights, with numerous national publications and a book, Practice and Procedure in the U.S. Tax Court. During her teaching career, Danshera regularly spoke to national audiences of tax and business lawyers about recent developments in tax law.

Danshera has taught at schools including Seattle University, University of Pittsburgh, Albany Law School, Jacksonville University, was a Distinguished Foreign Professor in Shanghai, China, and has directed multiple graduate tax programs. Before deciding to return to serving clients and helping them receive the best results before the IRS, in the U.S. Tax Court, and in planning their transactions, she achieved the rank of Distinguished Professor of Law at Albany Law School.
