Erica J. Mackaness is a native of Jacksonville, FL, and a lover of all things DUUUVAL. Erica is an alumnus of the University of Florida where she graduated with her Bachelor of Science, Cum Laude, in 2020. She later graduated Cum Laude from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law where she was conferred her Juris Doctor. While earning her J.D., Erica served as the Online Executive Editor of the University of Pittsburgh Law Review, worked for the Sikov Elder Law Clinic, and earned multiple awards for her writing.

Prior to attending law school, Erica was a legal clerk for Fisher Tousey, later returning as a Summer Associate, and then joining the firm as a full-time associate in 2024. Erica’s practice focuses primarily on estate planning, probate, and trust administration.

When she is away from the office, Erica enjoys cheering on the Jacksonville Jaguars and Pittsburgh Steelers, biking around Jacksonville, and spending time with her friends and family.
