Ross H. Chafin is a shareholder in the Jacksonville office of Fisher, Tousey, Leas & Ball, where he is a member of the Real Estate practice group. Ross focuses his practice on commercial real estate acquisitions, dispositions, land use, development and operation of real property. Ross’s experience includes transactions across many asset classes, including multi-family residential, office, industrial, retail, educational, RV and automotive dealerships, healthcare, commercial condominiums, and master planned mixed-use projects. He also counsels clients concerning title-related matters, commercial lease negotiations, loans secured by real property (including construction loans), easements and other use rights, sale of real property assets within the sale of a business, documentary stamp tax matters, tax deferred exchanges and complex homestead issues with related tax considerations.
Ross gives practical strategies and thoughtful resolutions to his clients’ problems, taking into account legal and business considerations. He approaches every matter with an open mind to understanding the bigger picture of each client’s situation, while paying attention to the importance of details in delivering his advice.
Ross resides in Jacksonville Beach with his wife and three children, and enjoys running, cycling, swimming, and getting outdoors with his family to explore new destinations and activities. Ross is an active member of Ocean City Church and serves on the hospitality/breakfast team.
