Fisher Tousey is proud to announce the continued expansion of its Corporate and Tax practices through the addition of Danshera W. Cords as Of Counsel to the firm, joining Fisher Tousey’s Riverside office in downtown Jacksonville. Her practice concentrates on all areas of complex taxation, including tax controversy, tax litigation, tax planning, and business law.
Ms. Cords earned her Juris Doctor from Seattle University School of Law, and her LL.M. in Taxation from New York University School of Law.
Prior to joining Fisher Tousey, Ms. Cords served as a Distinguished Professor of Law at Albany Law School, where she taught various tax-related courses and held numerous leadership roles, including Co-Director of the Financial Compliance Risk Management Graduate Law Program. She has also held visiting positions at the University of Pittsburgh School of Law and Shanghai University of International Business & Economics.
Ms. Cords’ contributions to the field of tax law are well-recognized through her numerous publications, including the widely referenced “Practice and Procedure in the U.S. Tax Court.” Her scholarly work has been featured in esteemed law reviews and journals, reflecting her deep understanding of tax policy, compliance, and procedural matters.
