Fisher Tousey recently announced the hiring of Christene M. Ertl to lead its newest practice area, Community Association and Planned Development.
With over 20 years of experience, Ertl focuses her practice on real property, community associations, and business law, as well as trademarks and copyrights. She is board certified in condominium and planned development law.
Ertl represents individuals, community associations, developers, banks, mortgage issuers, and real estate agents by assisting with legal issues involving daily operations, development, stormwater, zoning, turnover, formation, amendments, boundary rights, covenant enforcement, and more. She also prepares and reviews the necessary documents for the formation and operation of community and property owners’ associations.
“HOA and condo legal matters arise often for our clients, and Christene has decades of experience handing them,” remarked Fisher Tousey managing shareholder Trevor Ross. “She’s a perfect fit in a growing market. We couldn’t be happier to welcome her to the team.”
Along with her practice at Fisher Tousey, Ertl is very involved with the Florida Bar Real Property and Probate and Trust Law Section of the Bar (RPPTL), serving as the Co-Chair of the Condominium and Planned Development Board Certification Review Course, and the At Large Circuit Representative of the 7th Judicial Circuit on the RPPTL Executive Council.
Ertl is a graduate of Florida State University and The University of Miami School of Law.
Fisher Tousey also announced the addition of paralegal Cindy Marsh, who will be primarily assisting Christene Ertl with her community association and planned development practice. Marsh and Ertl worked together recently for over six years at another North Florida law firm.
Fisher Tousey has offices in Riverside, Ponte Vedra Beach, Amelia Island, and St. Augustine.
