Fisher Tousey Names New Shareholders and Senior Associates

Fisher Tousey is pleased to announce the promotion of two new shareholders, along with two associates being elevated to senior associate status.

Thomas R. Heekin has been elevated to Shareholder of Fisher Tousey. Thomas joined the firm in 2021, focusing his practice on estate planning, trust and estate administration, exempt organizations, and general corporate representation.

Thomas is a “triple gator”, having earned his B.A., J.D., and LL.M. in Taxation from the University of Florida.

Scott St. Amand has been made a Shareholder of Fisher Tousey. Scott joined the firm in 2016 in its Tax Controversy department. Scott’s practice concentrates on all matters of tax controversies, both state and federal, as well as estate and trust litigation. 

Scott earned his B.A. from Wake Forest University, his J.D. from the University of Richmond T.C. Williams School of Law, and his LL.M. in Taxation from the University of Florida Levin College of Law.

Asa H. Johnston joined the firm’s Litigation department in 2020. Asa was promoted to senior associate at the beginning of 2023. Asa’s practice focuses on all forms of civil litigation; most notably, probate, trust, business, commercial, and real estate litigation.

Prior to joining Fisher Tousey, Asa served as a clerk in Florida’s Fourth District Court of Appeals in West Palm Beach, as well as an Assistant State Attorney in the Jacksonville office where he tried several cases to verdict.

Asa earned his B.A. from the University of Central Florida, and his J.D. from the University of Florida Levin College of Law.

Kristie S. Johnston joined the firm’s Corporate department in 2017. Kristie was promoted to senior associate at the beginning of 2023. Her practice focuses primarily on mergers, acquisitions, and complex legal issues relating to unincorporated and incorporated business entities, business law and taxation.

Kristie earned her B.A. from Wake Forest University and her J.D. from the University of Florida Levin College of Law.
